As we get closer to home the internet connection just gets faster and faster! Finally decent photos from the trip are getting into our Flickr account and it is time for me to start introducing some of them.
Our first port of call that filled our Camera was Kathmandu. I have said it before but I will say it again, this place was just medieval.
We have an album from a day of walking around the city. The photos are full of color and life and somehow don't capture the age and claustrophobic feeling of these streets. It felt to me like the stories I read of old time London where you could shake the hand of the person who lived opposite you by reaching out of the window. There were dogs everywhere, shit flowing from overhead drains into the streets and peddlers everywhere. But, at the same time there was just an honest appreciation for the absolute simple things in life, family, fellow man and basic prayer.
