Colorado is such a great place to train for this mission. Mile Hi is just up the road and has some serious altitude landings, the field is right around 6000ft but with the summer sun the density altitude bumps it up closer to 9000ft. There is a wind tunnel close by to bust out some moves. Living at this altitude can't do any harm. Last but not least there is the Air Force Academy down in the springs and they offer Physiological Training which relates to the stresses of flight with altitude and cabin pressure loss. I managed to get signed up on a course, only 50 bucks for a day of invaluable experience.
