Simon says...
After coming up with his own list of the “Top 10 Things to Accomplish Before I Die”, the software consultant found himself rewriting his list when he knocked off the first five or so too quickly. Holding scuba diving and sky diving certificates, a pilot’s license, running three marathons, and hiking the Grand Canyon in both directions in 24 hours, the 33-year-old realized that in order to live life, you must simplify your life. He now guides others to do the same.
On February 23rd 2002 Simon had a wreck whilst snowboarding. He crashed into a tree on Breckenridge Peak 9. Thanks to the help of the Ski Patrol he was taken to the medical center for attention. After x-rays were reviewed he was told that both his wrists and left femur were badly fractured.
A keen distance runner he asked how long it would be before he could run again, he was told that it was unlikely that he would. Within 6 months Simon crossed the Grand Canyon in a single 12 hour hike. He was snowboarding again at the start of the next season. He still has feeling missing from his left leg.
