Samui

We landed at Samui airport a couple of nights ago.  We left Nepal to head to Bangkok and then got straight on a flight to Koh Samui for some beach time.

I heard this morning that a Yeti airlines Twin Otter crashed on approach to Lukla airport this morning.  That really blows for the folks there.  Lukla airport is by no means an easy place to land, pilots have just one shot as best I can tell.  The Otter is an awesome plane for that airport and although the angle of the runway looks crazy it actually helps slow the planes down in record time.  My thoughts are with the families of folks in that plane, that is just how it rolls som
etimes.

We rented a moped today for the pricey sum of 10 bucks.  I was amused at how the Gas is served up, in used Rum bottles.  By the way, I think a moped is more dangerous than a skydive.

Thanks to Buddha we survived and caught a great sunset.
