I am thinking that this will be my last post before we head out trekking in the morning. Last night was the team meeting at a bar called Rum Doodle. This was the first time everyone got to meet, a group of people brought together by a common goal that is kind of indescribable. There were a surprising number of cameras there, a couple of folks have brought their own camera crews to document the trip and some region journalists are also here. We met some really fascinating people and I think as the trip goes on we will learn and share some great stories, we will certainly be creating one.
It sounds like some of the kit got held up yesterday because the flight to Lukla got turned around. I guess that could be the start of some weather delays, who knows what the future holds but either way we are planning on making a serious start in the morning. Off for a briefing now. Cheerio.
